The Harrison County Sheriff's Department have identified two people killed in an accident on Route 50 on Dec. 30.
Tonya Hurst, 38, and Emery Freeman, 51, from the Wolf Summit area were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
The accident happened around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Route 50 and Route 98 near Wilsonburg.
The sheriff's department said Hurst and Freeman were in a car turning left onto Route 50 from Route 98, when the car collided with a truck heading east on Route 50.
The driver, Erik Sams of Ohio has been treated and released from a local hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
A two car accident left two people dead and one injured Friday night.
It happened around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Rt. 50 and Rt. 98 in Harrison County.
The Sheriff's Department said the two people in the car were turning left onto Rt. 50 from Rt. 98 when the other person, driving a truck, struck the car.
The two in the car were pronounced dead on the scene, the driver of the truck was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The Sheriff's Department is investigating.
