Matt Diorio's three-RBI triple sparked a four-run eighth inning for West Virginia, giving the Black Bears some insurance and propelling them to a 7-2 win over Williamsport in their first road game of the year. The Black Bears led the entire contest, and pulled ahead early after the Crosscutters committed three errors in the early innings.  West Virginia and Williamsport continue a three game set Thursday night at 7:05 p.m.

The Steelers will play five prime time games, including four consecutively, during the 2017 season.  The NFL released the team's new schedule Thursday. The Steelers open with the Browns Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. in Cleveland. Their home opener is sept. 17 at 1 p.m. against the Vikings. The Steelers have a bye in Week 9. As each of the 12 men's basketball coaches took the podium at Mountain East Conference Media Day Tuesday, they mimicked each other. One coach after another praised the parody in the MEC, calling it the toughest basketball conference in Division II.
