    The Upshur Arts Alliance held its second annual spelling bee on Friday evening in Buckhannon.  Teams of four from across the area, including members from WBOY, gathered to test their spelling chops against each other.  The event is a fundraiser for the Alliance. The money raised supports five area arts organizations, all based in Upshur County.  Our WBOY team moved up one place from last year, finishing in a tie for second.

    Clarksburg city officials celebrated a business's new location. The Family and Marital Counseling Center opened in its new home on Pike Street. The center was located in the Goff Building for the past five years before moving. "We looked at Clarksburg because it seems to be a busy area nearby, and we've been real welcomed once we got here," said Don Worth, owner. This is the business's second location after opening down the interstate in Weston.
